Ashley Hales is a writer, speaker, church planter and mother to four. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.In her new book, Finding Holy in the Suburbs: Living Faithfully in the Land of Too Much (IVP, 2018), Ashley writes about finding herself in a place she would not have chosen and seeking to learn how to offer and receive hospitality in the name of Jesus. What I love most about this book is that she confronts the idols of consumerism, individualism, and busyness without the quick fix of abandoning the suburbs.
