An Interview & A New Friend

A few weeks ago, I agreed to do an interview with a new friend, John Wallace. John lives in Ireland (I know that because he uses the world brilliant a lot, and also because he spells favorite, favourite -- as in "Steve, you are my favourite blogger"). I agreed to the interview when he promised to garner me millions and millions of new blog followers by posting this interview on his site, which you can check out here. In addition to some great thoughts on life and faith, John interviews interesting bloggers in a series called The Person Behind the Blog. Check it out. It's brilliant.Though it feels a little self serving and weird to link you to interview about me, I'm shamelessly going to do it anyway. In it, I brag about my wife, I talk about my time spent living in Europe, and a little about my writing process. So, here is an excerpt from the interview, which you can read in its entirety here:

When did you come to know Jesus? Was it a sudden realization or something that happened over time?
Having grown up in the church, I can’t ever remember not considering myself a Christian. But it just wasn’t real for me. I always felt very different from other Christians, and I never met any to whom I felt I could really relate. Most of the kids in the youth group that I sometimes attended had embroidered covers on their bibles, and I was usually hung over, so I felt a tad out of place (and I’m sure I had a slight chip on my shoulder as well)...
